About the Event
Barbie Borke, Jersey Shore Immigrant Support Coalition, will provide an intense training designed to prepare us to advocate for our fellow community members at risk of detention and/or deportation.
We'll learn how to interact with immigration agents and law enforcement with the goal of minimizing risk for detention and/or serious bodily harm. We'll also learn how to effectively and safely report and document Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) raids. Barbie will share detailed information about our rights as observers and the rights of all immigrants including non-citizens.
The training is for service providers, government agencies and their employees, and coastal Monmouth residents. This event is in person at the Family Success Center at 300 Broadway in Long Branch.
